Help us fix the dangerous intersection at The Crescent Annandale

Join our campaign calling on the minister to fix safety issues at The Crescent

Our community deserves an intersection that prioritises safety, allowing everyone to reach their destination without incident.

But Annandale residents are currently faced with a dangerous and confusing intersection at The Crescent. Now, after months of confusion and serious safety concerns, Transport for NSW are proposing a solution that will permanently remove the right-hand turn from Johnston Street onto the Crescent.

This outcome reflects a proposal that was first made in 2019/20. This proposal was later abandoned following community consultation, as it was clearly not acceptable to local road users.

The proposed solution remains unacceptable and this decision must be reconsidered as a matter of urgency. Transport for NSW should consider alternative solutions such as installing new turning lanterns or recalibrating the phasing of traffic lights to treat the intersection as two separate intersections for the duration of the temporary lane reduction.

To the Minister for Roads:

The reduction in lanes at the intersection of The Crescent and Johnston Street in Annandale has created a dangerous spot for all road users.

We are calling on the government to urgently fix the safety issues at The Crescent, Annandale while still retaining the right hand turn from Johnston Street.
