Join our public meeting - Inner West planning reforms
Join our public meeting to discuss the proposed Inner West Council planning changes - what they mean for our community, what changes we really need to see to fix the housing affordability crisis, and how you can help shape a better Inner West for all.
Imagine an Inner West built for everyone. Where people can find an affordable place to call home, surrounded by world-class infrastructure and plenty of green space. Together, we can shape a future like this for all of us.
The Inner West Council is exhibiting its draft Local Environment Plan (LEP) until July 6th, 2025. The plan pushed by NSW Labor and the Inner West Labor Councillors will see more profits for big developers and won't fix the housing affordability crisis.
The proposed changes will impact areas in the Balmain Electorate, including Leichhardt. More broadly, the reforms could see zoning changes in Ashfield, Croydon, Dulwich Hill, Lewisham, Marrickville, Petersham, Stanmore, St Peters, Sydenham and Tempe.
If you want to see what the proposed reforms will mean for our Inner West Community, and how you can help shape the future of our suburbs, RSVP to join our public meeting.
