Heritage Changes to Ballast Point Park: Have Your Say
Register to attend our public meeting to learn more about the proposed Heritage Listing for Ballast Point Park.
The Heritage Council of NSW has expressed its intention to consider listing Ballast Point Park, Birchgrove on the State Heritage Register.
The park has an important history, including its return to public ownership following the success of the Green Ban movement and activism from the Ballast Point Campaign Committee and local residents.
I am contacted regularly by members of our community about how well-loved and valued Ballast Point Park is, so I’d like to ensure the community plays a critical role in the conversation about this proposed heritage listing and the future of this special park.
We’re inviting those of you who are interested to our community forum to hear from some experts and provide clarity about the submission process.
When: Wednesday the 6th November, 5pm
Where: Nicholson Street Public School Library, Balmain East.
