Help fix the dangerous crossing at City West Link and Norton Street

Join our campaign to urgently address pedestrian safety concerns at the City West Link and Norton Street crossing in Leichhardt.

Our community deserves streets that are safe for pedestrians - allowing people to get where they need to go without fear of incident. However, local residents are currently faced with a dangerous pedestrian crossing at City West Link and Norton Street in Leichhardt

There have been too many near-misses at this intersection and this year we witnessed the unthinkable - a horrifying accident that left a pedestrian fighting for their life. This is unacceptable

I have written to the Minister for Roads to express the concerns of local residents who use this crossing every day. I called on the government to urgently improve pedestrian safety at this crossing.

Transport for NSW have applied for funding under the federal Black Spot Program for the next financial year. While this is a step in the right direction, we cannot afford for this project to be delayed. The government must give a firm commitment to act now.

Will you please add your name to the petition calling on the Minister for Roads to commit to the pedestrian safety upgrades at City West Link and Norton Street as a matter of urgency? Our community expects streets to be safe for pedestrians and cyclists - we cannot wait for another tragedy to strike.

The pedestrian crossing at City West Link and Norton Street is dangerous for pedestrians.

We are calling on the government to urgently fix these safety issues by installing pedestrian protection upgrades in all four directions.
