Greens Secure Affordable Key Worker Housing for Camperdown

July 10, 2025

The NSW Greens, working alongside community members and housing advocates have secured 220 affordable and key worker homes for Camperdown.

Everyone deserves an affordable place to call home. That's why the NSW Greens, working alongside community members and housing advocates, have secured 220 affordable and key worker homes for Camperdown.

Just 12 months ago, NSW Labor was set to sell this site to private developers, with plans to deliver just 100 homes on the private market.

This was a broken promise from a government that had committed to deliver at least 30% affordable housing on surplus government-owned land.

Thanks to sustained pressure, the Minns Labor Government backed down from this disappointing plan, and will now deliver 220 homes for key workers, including nurses and teachers.

Working together, we've held the government to account and secured this win for key workers and our local community.

We know more work is needed and will continue to push for further investment in affordable, social, and public homes.
